Plank South Elementary
2023-2024 School Year: Beauty and the Beast Jr
Open for Plank South Elementary students in grades 4-5!
Auditions:
Tuesday, January 9 from dismissal till 4PM
Rehearsals: Start on Wednesday January 10; All Tuesdays and Wednesdays from dismissal till 4PM
at Plank South Elementary
There will be evening rehearsals each night (Mon-Thu) the week of the show (3/18-3/21)
Performances at Plank South: Friday, March 22 at 7PM; Saturday, March 23 at 2PM; and Saturday, March 23 at 7PM
Tuition: $150 per student
Synopsis:
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman.
At auditions, students will be taught an excerpt from a song from the show by a theatre professional from OFC Creations. Students do not to need to prepare anything before attending auditions. All students who register for the program will be in the show - there are no cuts. For this program all students who register will be in the show, there are no behind the scenes roles.
Students must register in advance, prior to audition day.
