Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys’ and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as “Greased Lightnin’,” “It’s Raining on Prom Night” and “Alone at the Drive-In Movie,” recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.
An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, Grease is now among the world’s most popular musicals. Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. “Grease: School Version” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company. www.concordtheatricals.com

9 to 5 JR., with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is an adaptation of the Broadway musical based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and empowerment in the Rolodex era has a message for today.
Although coworkers Violet, Judy and Doralee are as different as could be, they have one thing in common: their bully of a boss, Mr. Hart, makes their lives miserable. Together, they concoct a plan to liberate their office from his reign. In a hilarious turn of events, the trio gives their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down.

9 to 5 JR. is about teamwork and finding the courage to stand up for what’s right. Through Dolly Parton’s catchy score and a story filled with humor, young performers explore collaboration as a way to create change. This musical is a joyful reminder that you can take care of business with the support of those around you.

Christopher Sergel’s play is a faithful adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s coming-of-age-novel about rival teenage gangs in 1960s Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Greasers come from troubled working-class backgrounds, contrasted with the Socials, whose members are from upper-middle-class families. Like the novel, the play centers on 14-year-old Ponyboy Curtis, a member of the Greasers gang, as he recounts the violent aftermath after his friend Johnny fatally stabbed Socials member Bob. This adaptation places some of the violence and strong language off-stage making the material appropriate for teen performers.

The characters—Dallas, who wasn't tough enough; Sodapop, the happy-go-lucky dropout; Bob, the rich kid whose arrogance cost him his life; Ponyboy, the sensitive, green-eyed Greaser who didn't want to be a hood - This is a play about young people who are not yet hopeless about latent decency in the midst of struggle.
Please note: Female students may be cast in male character roles. This is a play, not a musical.

This production will have two casts, each cast will have two performances each. However the opposite cast may be utilized in the final scene of the opposite cast's performances as ensemble.

Please note: Students may participate in multiple classes and programs with OFC at the same time.

A group of high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school face issues of sexuality and personal identity. As the students struggle to come to terms with who they are, and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. The story follows Peter and his hidden relationship with his boarding school roommate, Jason. While Peter wishes to share their relationship with the world (and his mother), Jason is set on keeping their life secret and to remain one of the popular jocks of the school. With pressure from Nadia (Jason’s sister who throws her weight around), Ivy (Nadia’s mean girl misunderstood roommate who falls in love with Jason), Matt (who falls in love with Ivy, and outs Peter and Jason’s relationship), and the church’s priest and no-nonsense nun, Sister Chantelle, the story comes to a tragic end with a message of hope for the next generation to love and accept one another. Bare: A Pop Opera features a rich, vibrant score, as the entire show is sung through, with draws on many styles of contemporary music.

This will be OFC’s third production of Bare: A Pop Opera under the direction of Eric Vaughn Johnson who also previously performed in the show when he was in high school. The three adult roles of Sister Chantelle, Claire, and the Priest will be played by Broadway in Brighton professional adult actors, all other roles will be played by students.

Please note: This show contains serious and mature PG-13 material. It is encouraged for students and their families to research the show prior to signing up for auditions. This production’s schedule does not conflict with any other OFC teen production schedule.

Led by professional instructors with industry experience from NYC and across the country, students will dive deep into the three pillars of performance — acting, singing, and dance — while gaining essential tools to thrive in the industry. Throughout the week, participants will be focused on choosing material that’s appropriate for age/type/role, character development, emotional connection and expression, the text of both song and scene or monologue including working a song as monologue and nonmusical material, connecting to the physicality of character and style of the material, working with accompanist, rehearsal technique differentiated from performance - the art of building a performance through rehearsal technique.

There are no auditions, pre-requirements or showcases for this program, this camp is focused on "process-based" performing, and how we become better actors, singers and dancers.

On the final day of camp (Friday) a panel of local theatre experts will join as a panel to give feedback on their work.
Whether your dream is Broadway, film and television, or regional theatre, this intensive will give you the insight, skills, and confidence to move closer to becoming a true triple threat.
