13 The Musical

Live in person performances on Friday, October 7 at 7PM; Saturday, October 8 at 2PM; Saturday, October 8 at 7PM; and Sunday, October 9 at 2PM at the OFC Creations Theatre Center; Appropriate for aged 10 & up

Geek. Poser. Jock. Beauty Queen. Wannabe. These are the labels that can last a lifetime. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, (Parade, The Last Five Years, Bridges of Madison County) 13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out!

Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents’ divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain... or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!? The cast is comprised entirely of teenagers, but the stories that come to life here are ageless, the emotions they explore timeless, the laughter and the memories they provide priceless.

Unpleased with their witchcraft and gaudy appearance, the people of Salem make a spectacle of sentencing the witches to death, warning their revenge one day.

Hundreds of years later the three witches are reborn in 2022 set to wreak musical havoc on the town which betrayed them. In a new world filled with RuPaul's Drag Race, Dance Moms, and The Wendy Williams Show, will the witches find acceptance and love?

Audiences will be on the edge of their seats laughing, as the three 17th century witches attempt to stumble their way through the modern world. The musical comedy will feature parody versions of the greatest girl pop songs & disco tunes of all time. Celebrate spooky season with some sassy and classy witches like never before seen!!

5th Annual "Oh Watta Night!"

Live in-person performance on Saturday, November 5th at 7PM at OFC Creations Theatre Center Main Stage. The reception and silent auction start at 6pm. Appropriate for ages 13 & up.

"Smiling's my favorite!" Who said it best? Your local orthodontist or Will Ferrell in the holiday classic Elf? Ding. Ding! DING! You're right! it was Will, but the truth is here at Polite Ink Comedy, we say and DO it all the time, too. We think everyone should smile as much as possible. First, it uses less muscles than a frown so you're warding off pesky wrinkles and second, because if you're smiling you're releasing endorphins and endorphins make people happy. (Thanks Elle Woods!)  And, if smiling is in fact basically a fountain of youth, let's come together for an unforgettable night of smiling and laughter for the 5th Annual Polite Ink. Oh Watta Night! benefit performance for The Center for Youth (centerforyouth.net).

With an unwavering commitment to youth in Rochester, The Center has provided services for over 50 years in our community that are rooted in a culture of belonging, growth, and understanding to ensure that youth voices are heard, respected, and followed. It delivers a runaway and homeless youth continuum of care, including emergency shelters, transitional housing & independent living, a maternity group home, two crisis nurseries, street outreach, counseling, workforce development, school-based services, and more.

If you just like to smile like we do, and you like supporting our city's youth like we do, then this is the show for you!  The evening is filled with original sketch comedy alongside high-energy, quick-witted improv. You can sit back and watch or be a part of the show by shouting your suggestions and perhaps even joining us on stage (only if that's also your thing). Special guest Red Tie Variety.

YOU. WILL. LAUGH.

100% of ticket proceeds go directly to The Center for Youth!

Horton's challenge is twofold — not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.

Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

OFC Creations Presents

Billy Elliot

The Musical

Live in person performances on Friday, May 12 at 7:30PM; Saturday, May 13 at 7:30PM; Sunday, May 14 at 2PM; Friday, May 19 at 7:30PM; Saturday, May 20 at 7:30PM; and Sunday, May 21 at 2PM at the OFC Creations Theatre Center Main Stage; Appropriate for ages 8 & up

OFC’s season headliner, Billy Elliot, is based on the international smash-hit film, and features a score by music legend Elton John. Billy Elliot is an astonishing theatrical experience that will stay with you forever.

Set in a northern English mining town against the background of the 1984 miners' strike, Billy Elliot is the inspirational story of a young boy's struggle against the odds to make his dream come true. Follow Billy's journey as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, where he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family and community... and changes his life forever.

With a powerful storyline, rousing songs, and sensational choreography, Billy Elliot has blown audiences away across the globe. This ten-time Tony winner, including Best Musical is a spectacular show with the heart, humor and passion leading it to be named TIME Magazine's "Best Musical of the Decade!"

***The mature language in Billy Elliott reflects a specific culture and moment in time and was originally written to advance the characters and plot. In accordance with Music Theatre International and the approval of Lee Hall (Books & Lyrics), OFC’s production will adjust some of this language due to the youth cast members and expectation that many families will wish to attend this production. While not all language will be changed, we believe Billy Elliott will be appropriate for ages 8 and up.

OFC’s Billy Elliot will be the first Rochester produced production. Directed by Eric Vaughn Johnson, featuring a cast of professional actors
