Cafe Assistant Manager
Type: Part Time to Full Time
Reports to: Cafe General Manager, Management & Executive Management
Location: OFC's The Old Farm Cafe, Rochester, NY

Position Summary:
OFC Creations Theatre operates immersive restaurant, The Old Farm Café and Dining Experience, next door and connected to the OFC Creations Theatre Center. Café employees are employed through OFC Creations.
The Assistant Manager of the café will work closely with the Café’s General Manager to ensure the café’s operations for the public and for private events are run smoothly, efficiently, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager will focus on customer service, quality assurance, providing customer support in escalated situations, work and safety issues, acting as a designated key-holder to open, close, and access the café, and supporting the Café General Manager with workflow, inventory, and special events.
The Assistant Manager will manage café crew members and key holders and take part in hiring and training new employees. To be successful in this role applicants should have work food and beverage experience as well as ideally experience in leadership. Applicants should be available to work during normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Expected to be involved with the day-to-day operations and interactions with customers and staff.

Work hands on with food and meal preparations as well as hand crafted beverages.

Ensure café policies and protocols set with the General Manager are followed for all employees including those deemed by the health department.

Execute special events and on-site catering for off hours.
-
Take a lead role in inventory, ordering of product, and traveling to pick up product during shifts as needed
-
Review success of current menu, requests, and seasonal offerings
-
Train café crew and key holders on drink preparation, food preparation, proper use of coffee/cooking equipment, cleaning, and customer service expectations
-
Execute and ensure employees complete closing cleaning procedures, as well as during-shift cleaning duties
-
Nurture friendly relationships with guests to increase loyalty and retention
-
Additional responsibilities added upon role development and expansion

Qualifications:
-
Required work experience in restaurants, food and beverage
-
Preferred management or leadership experience
-
Availability to work regular operating hours and weekend evening special events as needed

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work on a team

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to take initiative while solving problems

Ability to be a team player while working with colleagues.

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Private Lesson Teacher
Type: Part Time
Reports to: Management & Executive Management
Location: OFC Creations Theatre Center, Rochester, NY

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking passionate and experienced instructors to teach private lessons in one or more of the following disciplines: Acting, Singing (with focus in musical theatre), Piano, or other instruments. Instructors will work one-on-one with students ages 7 and up, including teens and adults, at the OFC Creations Theatre Center in Rochester, NY.
Instructor may also have opportunities to teach and direct group classes and musical productions throughout the school year and summer camp season.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and personalized lessons tailored to each student’s goals and skill level

Maintain consistent scheduling and open communication with students and families
-
Provide feedback and support for student development and progress
-
Collaborate with OFC staff to align instruction with performance and educational programming
-
Prepare students for showcases, recitals, or masterclasses

Qualifications:
-
Background in one or more of the following: acting, vocal performance (with focus in musical theatre), piano, or other instruments
-
We are not currently seeking lesson teachers for dance. ​

Prior teaching or coaching experience (private or group settings)
-
Ability to work with a range of ages and skill levels, and experience working with kids
-
Strong communication, professionalism, and a positive, encouraging attitude
-
Evening and/or weekend availability is preferred
-
Reliable transportation
-
Must be 18 or older

Wardrobe Crew Member
Type: Part Time (with option to transition to full time)
Reports to: Management & Executive Management

Position Summary:
OFC is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Wardrobe Crew Member to join our production team. This role is perfect for someone with sewing and tailoring skills, a love for theatre, and strong organizational abilities. You’ll help bring productions and educational programs to life by managing and maintaining costume stock, fitting and altering costumes, and supporting both Broadway in Brighton shows and youth educational productions.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with organization of OFC’s in-house costume stock
-
Lead load in and load out of costume/wardrobe needs for dressing rooms for assigned shows
-
Track costume pieces and ensure they are properly labeled, stored, and returned post-show
-
Help uphold the visual and professional quality of all productions
-
Broadway in Brighton Series (professional productions):
-
Coordinate and handle fittings for assigned shows
-
Tailor and alter existing costumes to fit Broadway in Brighton actors
-
Hemming and fitting comfortably to the actor​
-
Adding or adjusting quick rigs when needed
-
-
Inspect rentals upon delivery and handle shipments of rental returns
-
Run wardrobe crew for dress rehearsals and performances for assigned shows (maintenance, quick changes, laundry)

Student Performers Series (educational shows):
-
Pull package costumes from stock and ensure inventory is accurate​
-
Fit and assign costumes to students for applicable roles
-
Source additional costumes as needed from purchasing, borrowing or pulling from other stock/packages
-
Run wardrobe for dress rehearsals and performances
-
Qualifications:
-
Experience in costume design, wardrobe, sewing, and/or tailor/alterations is required
-
Basic to advanced sewing and garment alteration skills required
-
Comfortable working with children and teens in a fast-paced theatre setting
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team
-
Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Evening and/or weekend availability
-
Reliable transportation
-
Must be 18 or older
