At the dawn of humanity, one tribe of cave-people survives the many trials of prehistoric life under the wise leadership of Jemilla, The Peacemaker. Jemilla taught her people to express themselves, rather than bashing each other’s heads with rocks and eating each other’s babies. But one member of the tribe doesn't seem to fit in: Zazzalil. She's always trying to invent things to make life easier… for herself. While out hatching her latest scheme, Zazzalil stumbles upon the most important discovery in history. One that will pit her tribe against wooly mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and change the world forever. She'll travel from omega to alpha, and become… the Firebringer!

Starkid’s FIREBRINGER (School Edition) is widely known for the “I don’t want to do the work today” musical number.

Please note: Students may participate in multiple classes and programs with OFC at the same time. Students going on the Disney trip may still participate, but may be called for an additional rehearsal to catch up on material. Contact us for clarification on any potential schedule overlap.

A Chorus Line is a stunning concept musical capturing the spirit and tension of a Broadway chorus audition. Exploring the inner lives and bittersweet ambitions of professional Broadway performers, the show features one powerhouse number after another. Memorable musical numbers include "What I Did for Love, "One," "I Can Do That," "At the Ballet," "The Music and the Mirror," and "I Hope I Get It." A brilliantly complex fusion of song, dance, and compellingly authentic drama, A Chorus Line was instantly recognized as a classic.

OFC embraces diversity and encourages actors to apply even if they do not fit the stereotype of the character as originally written or portrayed. It should be noted that Tams Witmark Licensing Company has changed dialogue in the School Edition of A Chorus Line for the characters of Connie, Richie and Judy to be played by actors of any race or height.

Please note: This show contains serious and mature PG-13 material.

Geek. Poser. Jock. Beauty Queen. Wannabe. These are the labels that can last a lifetime. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, (Parade, The Last Five Years, Bridges of Madison County) 13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out!

Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents’ divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain... or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!? The cast is comprised entirely of teenagers, but the stories that come to life here are ageless, the emotions they explore timeless, the laughter and the memories they provide priceless.

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical KIDS, a fantastical musical extravaganza!

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold — not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Open to ages 7-14

September 7-October 29, 2022 on Wednesdays 6PM-7:30PM
Showcase Saturday, October 29 at 5PM at the OFC Creations Theatre Center

Instructor: Lizzi Lou; Tuition: $225

Dance through life with OFC Creations as we defy gravity exploring one of the most popular musicals of all time: Wicked! Students will learn songs, dances and acting challenges from the hit Broadway musical “Wicked.” Most importantly, the class will explore the storytelling techniques and the differences between Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and other spin offs.

The story of Wicked is told from the perspective of the witches of the Land of Oz; its plot begins before and continues after Dorothy Gale arrives in Oz from Kansas, and includes several references to the 1939 film and Baum's novel. Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Galinda (the Good Witch), who struggle through opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, reactions to the Wizard's corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba's private fall from grace.

The class will conclude with a studio-based showcase for parents, featuring group songs, dances, and scenes from “Wicked,” and each student will have a solo piece. Students do not need to audition for the program.

Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for your young performer!

Once you register, you are automatically in the show!

Shake off those audition nerves and let’s get confident! This workshop focuses on every element of your performance from walking into the room, introductions, song delivery, and more! We will focus on performance delivery not only from the vocal perspective, but as a musical theatre triple threat. Instructors will bring example songs that could be used in a summer camp audition. Review the “dos” and “donts” of auditioning while having a blast at the same time! Students will perform while receiving positive and constructive feedback from the instructor and class. No need to prepare anything in advance, the structure will be very similar to how auditions will be run for OFC’s summer camps.
